Ten Things You Can Do to Help Fight Invasive Weeds in Anchorage
Become a Citizen Weeds Warrior and help pull invasive plants
Learn to identify invasive plant species and report them when you find them
Remove invasive plants on your own property
Grow only non-invasive plants in your garden or as landscaping plantings
Join the Anchorage Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area to help deal with invasives across the city
Encourage businesses to not sell invasive plants
Clean your vehicle, boots, outdoor gear, and pets of mud and debris before leaving town for other parts of Alaska
Attend a workshop or search the Internet for more information about invasive plants
Make sure that ground-disturbing equipment is thoroughly cleaned between projects and that any soil or rock comes from a weed-free source
